the past week.

it has been 11 days since i last blogged. wow. i must have been really busy or totally uninspired to write. a bit of both really. here's the lowdown of wat happened in the past week. it's gonna be a long post.

thu 3rd: acute day. no time to post.

fri 4th: post acute day. very tired. plus added stress of the gen med essay dat was due the following mon. ended up procrastinating the entire nite watching trashy tv like antm.

sat 5th: weekend allocated to doing the essay. woke up late (as always) and muttered abt before celebrating nish's bday at filadelfio's dat nite. was a good nite of chitchat and laughter then it was back to reading bloody journals dat nite. tried to stay up the entire nite in vain.

sun 6th: crunch time. haf to finish the essay otherwise im doomed. it was a mix of typing and procrastinating on facebook. at least my restaurant was doing well. haha. finally finished it at 1 something AM! sigh. my last minute ways must seriously stop.

mon 7th: somehow it turned out to be busy dat day. i was doing discharge summaries non stop. seriously sick of them. but as a post essay celebration, went to watch the ugly truth at the cinema. very funny movie. totally recommended for laugh out loud fun. seriously couldnt contain my laughter. was totally exhausted after dat and fell asleep.

tues 8th: acute day AGAIN! busy busy busy.

wed 9th: post acute day. by this day, i wanted my wkend. it felt more like friday to me. and then when i came home, watched another movie. frozen flower. more abt dat later.

thu 10th: couldnt make it to work. my cough was pretty bad. so decided to stay in and recuperate. slept the entire day. enuf said.

fri 11th: finally the end of the long week. more discharge summaries. at least i had mamma mia to look forward to, which was totally awesome! much better than the movie. another big thumbs up from me.

sat 12th: another big sleep in. nothing much else.

sun 13th: slept in again. wat's new? just spent the last hour sitting outside in the sun. watching my parents do the weeding. hahaha. im so lethargic it's not funny.

anyways, the main gist of this post is abt the movies i watched recently.

first of all, the ugly truth. i had been looking fwd to watching this movie for some time and it didnt disappoint. katherine heigl was funny as always and damn, she looks hot in this movie. and the doctor guy was hot too. haha. so was gerard butler in his own way. haha. basically it was abt this control freak who was having a bit of bad luck in relationships. then along comes this guy's guy who teaches her how to keep guys interested. basically playing the hard to get game by being someone she's not.

playing the game. recommended or not, i dunno. personally im tired of games when it comes to relationships. it's hard enuf trying to follow watever rules there may be. and besides if it's a game, means someone ends up being the winner and someone else has to be the loser. and shouldnt both parties be winners in a relationship? i kno girls play the game to keep the fellas interested. and guys do the same too i spose. but enuf is enuf! it's like dat backstreet boys song. quit playing games with my heart.

and then the other movie i watched, frozen flower. well wat can i say. it's a korean movie set in the olden times of kings and queens. there's a king and queen who have not been able to conceive an heir and are under threat by another country cos they have no heir. the king by the way is bisexual and has been making out with his chief guard. the king then decides dat in order to produce an heir, the guard should have sex with the queen. which they do and they end up falling in love and the king gets jealous, becos he loves the guard. so it becomes kinda complicated. it's an odd love triangle but interesting plot nevertheless. i first heard abt this movie while reading popseoul. then i heard abt it again from my sis when i was in sg. the thing is there are multiple sex scenes in this movie. one of them involves the king and the guard. which was slightly disturbing to watch. so my sis was telling me abt the grossness of this scene. and it was kinda funny cos she didnt kno it was abt gay/bisexual issues. so it came as a big shocker. watching 2 hot korean guys making out with tongue involvement is not hot at all. it's kinda traumatising to watch. so then i came back to nz and somehow my parents had it. a fren had lent it to them, saying it's better than lust, caution. rite. so then i thot i shuld see wat the big deal was abt this movie. and i ended up watching it with my mum. and it wasnt as weird as i thot it would be. watching sex scenes with my mum. there were a lot of sex scenes and there were a lot of positions used. lol. so it only became weird when i blurted out, "omg, they even kno the 69 position in those days." big mistake. cos then my mum asked me, "how do u kno it's called dat?" uh oh. now im thinking crap, my mum thinks ive been having sex. S*#%. so then i reply, "i dunno how i kno, but i just do?" then my mum gives me the suspicious look and asks me, "are u sure???" which then reminds me of this youtube video i had watched recently by kevjumba, abt watching sex scenes with ur parents. it's definitely awkward and not recommended. i told my sis abt wat had happened and she was in shock and was questioning how i could have watched this movie with mum. sigh. oh well. here's the kevjumba video. his dad is hilarious.

so yea in summary, never watch movies with ur parents unless u kno there are def no sex scenes in them. ive def learnt from my mistakes.
