end of july

it's the end of another month and i thot id post an entry before july 2010 is gone. work is neverending and now dat im no longer a student, i realise how much time i had before as a student. i used to have more time to blog and read blogs, more time to watch youtube and dramas, more time to chat on msn or be highly active on facebook. and now i barely have time to do all of the above and more. and sometimes i start to wonder wat is the purpose of working so hard, why am i living my life the way i am? oh yea, to earn money so i can lead a "comfortable" life. rite....

sometimes, i wish i could do something different. go to another country and live there and learn a new language and teach english. or head towards a completely different career, one with fixed hours and no weekends, then i would have time to do the things i wanna do. yea i guess i wouldnt have as much disposable income but it may not be a bad thing..

on another note, been busy cos i worked last wkend and then had to go to auck in the middle of the week for RDA union bargaining meeting with the employers. now im not much of a politics person but our RDA rep was working nites so i got asked to go instead. he told me it would just be sitting ard listening to ppl talk and told me to bring a good book. well, i intended to read and i brought twilight along. haha, bad choice. the room was not as big as i thot so ppl would obviously kno if u were reading and while ppl were talking, all these reps were busy writing everything down frantically! i just started following the crowd and started writing things down altho i didnt really kno wat was going on.

anyways, in the end it was a mentally exhausting 2 days. the meeting went nowhere and i dunno who the heck employed the employers becos they are too dumb for their role. a consensus hasnt been reached yet and it doesnt look good for us RMOs. i sense dat there may be something big happening soon. so for those docs out there who read this, i would advise joining RDA soon...

also went to a murder mystery party last nite for the first time, uber random. but kinda funny. but i realise it takes a certain kinda crowd in order for it to work out well. may or may not be suitable for a bday party im planning. hmmm...
