music and memories...

ive been reminiscing the past few days..reading old emails..thinking abt stuff..then i also started listening to songs dat held significance for me in the past..somehow they tend to be the emo songs..or the ones with a lot of "feel"..like superwoman or kiss goodbye..oh the memories..i still remember repeating the songs over and over again..dats kinda wat i do when i like a song..i put it on repeat for weeks. meaning i would listen to the same song prob at least a thousand times..maybe dats how i tend to remember song tunes..

i still listen to songs like superwoman..altho im listening to chinese songs less frequently nowadays..no one to update me on wat's hot in the mandopop world..altho somehow i manage kpop. haha. and well eng pop is either on the radio or usually not as emo..i would say jason mraz doesnt count as emo..he's more chilled..i still remember being obsessed with i'm yours. geez, i must have listened to it like at least 10,000 times??? and it was just last yr..

isn't music amazing? how listening to a particular song can bring back certain memories? songs can bring u back to the days of high school..songs can even bring u back more than 10 yrs ago..my sis actually taped some chinese songs on old school casette tape before we moved here. we still have it and my dad plays it in the car. it's sooo old..it even has lemon tree..

hmm..i was actually gonna talk abt other personal memories..but i kinda sidetracked with the music topic..oops. but yea listening to superwoman now, it will always serve as a reminder. a reminder to be a superwoman and well, other things too..
