from bad to worse.

u would think dat getting erythema multiforme was bad enuf. u would think dat being spotty is already a bad look for graduation. things couldnt get any worse rite? well i was proven wrong.

the rash itself is slowly improving. it's no longer on my face but now my face is kinda red and pretty uneven from the splotchiness of it all. the skin on the neck is slowly peeling away but still splotchy. and the spots are still present on my hands and legs and torso.

towards the end of last week, i noticed dat my arms were kinda yellow. as if i was jaundiced. then i noticed the whites of my eyes were kinda yellow too. so i concluded dat it must be due to meds. and the only meds id been on was prednisone so i concluded it was cos i was on high dose prednisone. then the jaundice didnt really go away despite me weaning myself off prednisone. the itch also came back but this time it was due to jaundice, not the rash. my mum got worried so i was off to another appt with the gp. and well some blood tests later, the gp didnt kno any better wat the cause mite be. apparently prednisone doesnt usually result in jaundice. i was negative for hepatitis serology, ebv, cmv serology. my full blood count and even CRP was normal. except for raised bilirubin and elevated liver function tests across the board. my gp even called the medical registrar in hospital who didnt kno wat it was and had to consult the consultant. (wonder which teams were on call today..) and then i was sent off to have an ultrasound scan, which was essentially normal. so now still no cause identified for my jaundice.

tmr im off to repeat blood tests. to see if it's getting worse or improving. im hoping it's improving.

so now im spotty AND yellow. i look like a sad lemon. spots are difficult enuf to conceal. yellow is impossible to conceal. i dunno wat im gonna wear for grad. im totally depressed. my morale is completely depleted. :(
