"ideal bf"

this is just for fun and shuld be taken lightheartedly..

this is in response to the post "drama and romance"..someone asked me wat is my ideal bf..well i was thinking abt it..actually it changes all the time..as i get older and wiser abt wat i want in my "ideal bf"..and like i said before, there is no such thing as an ideal bf becos i could never live up to those standards and my mum always says, it would be very hard to be with someone who's so perfect cos u would become very insecure and worried dat all the girls would be eying (is dat how it's spelt?) him..which is prob tru..heck..even aunties were eying and gossiping abt the guy who i thot was quite hot..haha..dats another story..

so here's the list and requirements of my so called "ideal bf" which by the way im sure doesn't exist in reality..but here goes..the impt ones are in bold..

Physical

• MALE - females need not apply, im very certain dat im 100% straight so pls dnt even try to bend me..
• oldER than me..preferably at least by 2 yrs..
  
• height greater than 1.78m, preferably above 1.8m
• not overweight and not too lanky..fat and skinny guys are a bit of a turn off..but then again, id rather tall and fat than short and average..
  
• good build and preferably with straight shoulders, not the sloping shoulders..
• pleasant looking face, no dysmorphic features..haha
• captivating eyes and still looks good even if wearing glasses (for the good boy look)
• a good haircut is a must! pls see leehom's video as a reference..long hair is not acceptable..neither is bleached hair..
  
• no piercings..if pierced already, pls dnt wear the earring..
• good complexion
• nice straight teeth with a nice smile..pls see pics of daniel henney as reference..dimples are a bonus..
• monobrow is not acceptable..
• clean shaven pls..
  
• basically if u look like, daniel henney, daniel wu, lee hom, keanu reeves, takeshi kaneshiro, the list can go on but i cant think of anymore..if u look like them then loads of brownie points for u..hahaha..
• walks with a straight back..no hunching pls..and also walks properly..
• smells good..HAHA..this is actually quite impt however strange it mite sound..
• no bad breath..
  

Characteristics

• honest, at least with me..
• MUST respect me and my family and frens..
• christian values, preferably a christian..
• generous as a person, not a cheapskate..
• hardworking..not a slacker..
  
• humble..overconfidence and arrogance is a real turn off..
• does not think higher of himself than other ppl..
• acknowledges his own flaws..
• not kiasu..google the term if u dnt understand..
  
• friendly and sociable..able to hold a conversation with most ppl..
• must be more mature than me..but not boring..
• not too conservative and not too open either..
• adventurous, likes to try new things, spontaneous..
• ABLE TO MAKE ME LAUGH! humour is super impt..
• nice person and likeable in general..
• gentlemanly towards all new

Lifestyle

• stable job and career, should be ambitious
• does not necessarily need to be in same career field as me
• works hard, also plays hard..
• has hobbies and interests dat he's passionate abt..
• likes music..able to play a musical instrument is a bonus..
• physically fit, with stamina..
• healthy..
  
• has frens who accept me..
  
• NON smoker..
• able to hold his liquor better than me..and does not get emo when he gets drunk..
• able to dance is a big bonus..esp if he can dance like JT..if only..at least shuld be daring enuf to dance..
• able to drive..good if there's some car knowledge
  
• knowledgeable with computers..
• knos abt the economy and how to manage his money wisely..
  
• well groomed..able to dress well..
• slightly metro but not overly gay..i.e. uses cleanser and moisturiser but not makeup..
  
• neat and tidy..
• likes watching movies and tv..
• able to cook..
• loves food and is willing to spend on good food and wine..very impt..
• good table manners..does not talk with food in mouth..major turn off..
  
• loves to travel and accepting of other ppl's diversity and cultures..
  
• independent in general, able to take care of himself..not dependent on me to cook and clean for him..
  

Relationship stuff

• MUST love me more than i love him..
• still loves me even at my worst..
  
• able to be trusted..very impt..and he must trust me too..
  
• keeps his promises..
  
• sweet but not to the point of a toothache..
• remembers impt dates..
• romantic but must be meaningful..
• pls not PDA..takes other ppl into account..
• does not cheat on me..
• will not hit on my frens or sister..
  
• is accepting of me and my flaws..
• will not end up being gay..
  
• NOT clingy..has no need to spend time with me 24/7..
• has marriage in mind in the long run..
• wants kids and is good with children..
• not stingy with me..
• will put up with me and my emo/bitchy times..
• is patient with me..
• always able to cheer me up when im feeling down..
  
• does not take longer than me to get dressed and ready..
  
• is protective of me and wants to take care of me..
• not possessively jealous, only slightly jealous.. new
  
• does not remember every single argument and use it against me in future..cos dats my job..hahaha..
  
• will NEVER EVER make fun of me, esp not in public..
  
• able to confide in me his deepest thoughts..
  
• will not judge me based on my past or wat other ppl say..
• will not kiss and tell..
  
• his family accepts me..has a nice mother who treats me better than him..hahaha..
  
• will not die earlier than me..

there's one more impt thing which is a must but ill keep u all guessing..hahaha..so dats my list and im sure there's more..haha..will keep adding to the list..anything else i shuld add? but i def kno dat this person is def non existent..haha..thus there is no such thing as an ideal bf..

and besides even if i end up with the ideal bf, it's not a given dat it will be a successful relationship..relationships and marriages take a lot of hard work, compromise and sacrifices..i see it everyday with my parents..life is never perfect and there will always be arguments and hard times..but wat makes a relationship successful is the ability as a couple to work thru those problems together..

note to anonymous 2: erm..unlike wat u said, i dnt have a leehom lookalike bf let alone a bf..haha..but thks for the confidence in me dat a leehom lookalike bf is attainable :)

and to all reading, pls feel free to comment but pls comment on the actual post itself and not on wat other ppl comment on..it totally loses track of the whole point of the post..and disappoints me when i see dat there are comments but it's totally irrelevant to the actual post..
