sunny weekends.

as promised, photos up ahead.

but first. the past few weekends have been glorious. sunny glorious. unfortunately i spent most of it lying in bed. sleeping in. i treasure my sleep and it's a challenge for most to try and wake me up. but on the days when i did manage to get out of my comfy bed, i did enjoy the sun.

lunch at mona vale with my parents. i love mona vale. the flowers were oh so pretty and the weather was great. and while we were there, there was to be a wedding dat day. a very nice place for a wedding.

 

see..even my parents wanna get married there..heeheehee..

my parents then talked abt having their anniversary there yadidah..so maybe ill organise their 40th or 50th wedding anniversary there for them..think they will like it..

also went to the botanic gardens with grace and june. little did i kno they were actually planning to go jogging. i went thinking it was purely walking. i was beat. but surrounded by pretty flowers.

ok no flowers in this pic but ive always thought this fountain looks magnificent. like the kind u see in a king's castle..hahaha..

 

 

 

and lastly, kids playing in the playground..hehe..this swing is actually tougher to get on than it looks..

and yesterday i went to Champs Elysees to pamper myself. indulged in their Cup Day promotion package. which included:

* spa and sauna

* facial

* skin peel

* eyebrow shaping

* manicure

* pedicure

* foot scrub

ive been dying to get a facial and thot this was a good opportunity since it was a special package. all of the above for $199. yes it's expensive but like i said, i was aiming to pamper myself. and besides a facial on its own already costs at least $100..

the spa and sauna itself was a little disappointing cos it was just the Heritage Hotel's spa and sauna facilities. but the spa is kinda cool. it was a small heated pool and u could press 2 buttons to make the spa like a jacuzzi. hehe fun..the facial itself was not bad. included some massage. always appreciated. but unfortunately no extractions done. apparently only asian beauty facials include extractions. my poor face continues to be terrorised by blackheads. the skin peel was pretty good too. it was a "social peel" meaning i wont get the redness from a normal peel. it's just targetting the very top layer of skin. the eyebrow shaping was also good. now i have nice eyebrows..hehe. i hate doing my eyebrows. damn painful and tedious. but has to be done..sigh. so much easier when someone else does it for u. the best part abt the facial experience was dat their bed is like the hospital beds, comes with a remote control dat lets u sit up! i was quite impressed by this. haha.

the manicure and pedicure was good. standard mani and pedi but somehow i still prefer charmed in far east plaza in singapore. charmed is cheaper too. sigh. why cant we have good cheap places to do mani and pedi in nz??? professionails is not good. i did a spa pedicure there and was disappointed. they left polish on the skin and didnt remove them until i said something abt it. not good. even if it's considered cheap.

the whole process took more than 3 hours. dat was an entire day taken. haha. but oh well. at least i feel good when i look good. and now i have nice nails and toenails. today i slept in. shoot. ok better start studying psych now before i start to stress out closer to wed!
