out of boredom, i came up with the idea recently dat id go and try new restaurants and become food critics. yes im random. so i dragged a couple of frens along for this new idea. someone thot of mexican so i looked mexican up in a food review website and the flying burrito brothers came up tops.
so off we went to the flying burrito brothers!
i made reservations pretty late, 2 hrs before arrival. and i think consequently we got a pretty crap table. we were rite near the kitchen, in a heavily lighted area when the rest of the restaurant had dim lighting. our table was also narrowing the walkway so it was a little weird. and the food often had to go past our table, so it was often very smoky and sometimes we would even be choking from the smoke! someone fix the fire alarm!
ambience: 5/10 (they only pass cos the rest of the restaurant seemed nicer..haha)
the food tho was actually pretty good. kudos to them for even having a glossary on the menu! but i couldnt be bothered reading it tho. i tried a pork tostada..it was quite yummy! and surprisingly very filling. who knew mexican food could make u full.. and for $20 worth, it's not bad for a nite out. esp for non asian food. haha. the others had sizzling fajitas, which involved making ur own fajitas and smoke, enchiladas, and flying burrito. i think all of them enjoyed their food. unless they were lying. haha.
they also had an extensive drinks menu and since it was a mexican restaurant, why not have margaritas! so i ordered frozen classic margaritas which was not bad except for the overpowering saltiness from the salted glasses. salt is good for tequila shots but somehow it doesnt really suit margaritas.
food: 8.5/10 (i'm being picky, the salad was underdressed and they didnt give enuf salsa and guacamole)
toilets: well i didnt go to the toilet so cant comment.
the service was not bad either. everyone's meals were served at ard the same time. and there was always water on the table. altho i think they cleared dishes and glasses a little too efficiently. as if hinting to us to leave..hmm..or maybe im just being a little sensitive.
service: 7/10
wat else do food critics talk abt? ive run out of wat else to say but overall food was good, company was good. nice place to try for a different flavour. high recommendations from me.

Are the dishes hot/spicy?
You could include presentation and desserts (if were ordered)next time :p
oh we didnt order dessert unfortunately cos we were too full! and no the dishes werent hot/spicy at all but there were lots of chilli bottles if u wanted it to be..haha.
next time must come with us raenna! no excuses!
